The midfielder’s temporary move from Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth is due to end early in the New Year.
So far, the young Cherry has made 14 appearances in a Yeovil shirt and he is keen to gain his place back in the starting XI, beginning with the match at Mansfield Town this weekend (3pm), before sorting his future.
“(I’d) definitely (like to stay). I’m enjoying my time here and I’m getting valuable experience at the moment,” Worthington told iFollow Glovers.
“I haven’t talked about it yet but it’s a conversation I’ll be having soon.
“We’ll see what happens in January but I’m definitely enjoying it.”
He continued: “I was very happy (with my performance on Tuesday). I’ve got a couple of man of the matches now; every time I go out on the pitch I want to be the best I can be, if I pick up man of the match awards along the way it’s good.
“I’m always trying to push for a start. In recent weeks the midfielders have had some good performances so they’ve been put in the starting line-up.
“I’ve been working hard in training to try and get in the starting line-up. It’s up to the gaffer to select me but I’ll be trying hard to be back in the squad.”
