After an action-packed game against Cheltenham that saw three Town goals disallowed and red cards shown to both Tom James and Darren Way, Gray says there’s no use in reflecting on what could’ve been.
“These things happen, you just have to get on with it, stay positive and keep pushing hard”, he told iFollow Glovers.
“It’s out of our control really. The referee makes his decisions, the lino makes his decisions, but we’ve just got to keep going and hopefully, the luck will iron itself out and we get a few decisions at the weekend.”
The ex-Crystal Palace trainee hinted at a renewed set of targets for the remainder of the season, saying: “We’ve put a real emphasis on what we want to achieve lately, so we know our goals and where we want to finish. We’ve just got to push on now.”
Setting his sights on Town’s opponents for the weekend and their up-and-down form this season, Gray commented: “I think that’s the same with other teams in this division.
“It’s a very difficult league to play in, you know that anyone can beat anyone so we’re not going to take them for granted and I’m sure they won’t do that to us either.
“In the last few weeks we’ve had a couple results against Mansfield and Notts County, we’ve shown we can do it, we just need to get on a little run now and really push forward.”
