Today, organisers Kevin Gall and Abby Carter have sadly had to confirm the postponement of the Yeovil Town Legends fixture vs. South West XI.
In a statement, Gall and Carter said;
Given the announcement yesterday by the National League it is with a heavy heart that we have to Postpone the game on May 17th. The decision to do this is absolutely heartbreaking but naturally we are left with no other choice.
Once we have more information we will share this with you and we thank you wholeheartedly for all of your support so far but with the clubs support they have given us permission to be the first game played back at Huish Park when those turnstiles are open again.
Organising this game has been something we’ve been desperate to bring together for many years and sadly at the moment we are in this difficult position but the game will happen as soon as we are able. Once we have a new date we hope more people than ever will join us to celebrate Adam Stansfield’s life and pay tribute to the special people who have dedicated their lives to YTFC but are sadly no longer with us.
Many of you have already purchased tickets for the game, these will be valid for the new date once we can confirm when this is and once the ticket office is back up and running you can take your ticket to them and they will issue you a new one with the new date.
We will be sharing the order forms for the shirts today. Stay safe, look after your loved ones and continue to follow Government advice.
