Yeovil Town secured back-to-back wins for the first time since early November with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Maidenhead United. Frank Nouble opened the scoring late in the first half before Harvey Greenslade sealed the win in the second.

Mark Cooper made just one change to the starting line up, with Ciaran McGuckin replacing the injured James Plant. Sean McGurk also returned to the bench after missing Tuesday’s match through injury.

The Glovers started brightly, showing attacking intent from the outset. Sonny Blu Lo-Everton got on the end of a low cross from the right but was intercepted before he could prod the ball goalwards.

Maidenhead goalkeeper Craig Ross was called into action in the 10th minute when Jake Wannell met a Charlie Cooper cross, but his header was comfortably saved. At the other end, Aidan Stone had to be alert in the 17th minute when Tristan Abrahams beat Finn Cousin-Dawson and drilled a dangerous ball across the area, which Stone smothered at the near post.

Moments later, Shawn McCoulsky had the best chance for the hosts, firing over from close range after a low cross from the right.

Yeovil regained control, with Brett McGavin driving forward and setting up Kyrell Wilson, whose shot was blocked. The breakthrough came in the 38th minute—well deserved for the visitors. A McGavin corner was initially cleared but fell to Charlie Cooper, who teed up Nouble. His powerful strike took a deflection on its way into the net, sparking celebrations among the travelling fans.

With few chances for either side before the break, Yeovil took their lead into half-time.

Maidenhead made two changes at the restart, introducing Ricky Korboa and Christian Johnson. Will De Havilland tested his luck from range, but his effort never troubled Stone. At the other end, Craig Ross had to be at full stretch to deny Lo-Everton.

Yeovil made their first change in the 55th minute, with Harvey Greenslade replacing Kyrell Wilson.

Maidenhead pressed for an equaliser, with De Havilland and McCoulsky both heading wide in quick succession. The game became scrappier, with Charlie Cooper and Lo-Everton receiving yellow cards as tensions rose.

Substitutions continued, with Josh Sims replacing McGuckin for Yeovil, while Maidenhead introduced Tyrese Dyce. Soon after coming on, Dyce was booked for a challenge on Sims.

From the resulting free kick, Michael Smith’s delivery caused problems in the box, falling to Greenslade, who controlled it before volleying home to double Yeovil’s advantage.

The final minutes were disrupted by further substitutions and stoppages. Nouble had a late chance in the 88th minute, cutting inside and firing a low shot across goal, but it narrowly missed the target.

Maidenhead’s only late opportunity came from a free kick, which was easily gathered by Stone.

As the final whistle blew, Yeovil secured a well-earned victory. Their second in a row and their first away win since November.
