Yeovil Town Women secured their first league win of the season in emphatic fashion, thrashing Bideford 9-0 in the South West Regional Division One South clash held in Devon.
The Glovers took the lead just 10 minutes into the match when Abbie Carslake opened the scoring. Jess Hodge doubled their advantage 10 minutes later, putting Yeovil in firm control. Right before the half-time whistle, Niamh Nicholls added a third, giving the visitors a comfortable 3-0 lead at the break.
The second half saw Yeovil maintain their dominance. Orla East struck early in the 50th minute, and by the 65th minute, Becky Miles added a fifth, assisted by Terri Will. Miles quickly followed up with her second goal just four minutes later, making it 6-0.
In the final 15 minutes, Ava Beattie netted her first of the season, while Niamh Nicholls completed her hat-trick with goals in the 85th and 90th minutes, sealing a stunning 9-0 victory.
Following this determined performance, Yeovil will look to build on their momentum when they host Weston-super-Mare at Alvington Lane next Sunday.
