It’s cup final action for Yeovil Town this evening as Bath City visit Huish Park for the culmination of this season’s Somerset Premier Cup.

It’s been a successful campaign for the Glovers so far, who have hit thirteen goals in the county cup this season and conceded just once.

For Bath, a victory in the county cup could add shine to the Romans’ season after a difficult season in the National League South.

Charlie Lee’s thoughts

Speaking to BBC Somerset’s Sheridan Robins following last weekend’s draw with Boreham Wood, Lee said; “Tuesday night will be a great night for the fans, the whole squad will be here.

“The players will be mingling with the fans, so we’ll make sure it’s a good evening.

“It’s been a long time since Yeovil won this cup so we’re looking forward to hopefully bringing it home.”

Yeovil Town fans should expect a strong side for this evening’s Somerset Premier Cup clash.

Commenting on his potential selection, Lee said; “It will be a full strength team. It will be the team I would select if it was a league game.

“There might be rotation due to tiredness, we’ll see how the group recovers, but the whole squad will be here.”

Josh Staunton has returned to full training and could be in line for his first involvement since March 22nd.

Sonny Blu Lo-Everton will be hoping for a start, having netted three times in the competition already, the Watford loanee could be the Somerset Premier Cup’s joint top scorer if he nets this evening.

Lee’s comments hint that there may not be inclusions for members of the Yeovil Town U18’s who have starred excellently throughout the tournament.

A foot in the opposition camp

It’s been a difficult first full season back after lockdown for Bath City. In their previous full season, Jerry Gill’s Romans had featured in the National League South play-offs, but this season has seen Bath languish in the bottom half of the table.

Although surviving with a number of games to go, Bath fans will be disappointed with how the season has turned out and will be hoping some local silverware can add some shine to their season.

The man to look out for in the Bath City camp is Cody Cooke. The former St. Mirren man has been on fire for the Romans since returning south of the border, netting 20 goals in 47 games in all competitions. As it stands, he is top scorer in the Premier Cup with four goals in four games.
