Yeovil Town will look to extend their unbeaten run with a trip to Hayes Lane to face Bromley on Tuesday evening (7:45pm).

After a victory on Saturday against Dagenham & Redbridge, the Glovers have to now face another in-form team from the capital.

Bromley, managed by Andy Woodman, are unbeaten in the National League since September and currently sit in fourth place, with a game in hand on the teams around them.

Darren Sarll thoughts

Speaking after Saturday’s victory over Dagenham, Sarll said, “They’ve got a real togetherness and tightness in their relationships (the players).

“It does help that they’re all pretty much 21-24 years old. The senior players are really leading them well at the minute.

“While we were doing well, to get (Luke) Wilkinson back is a boost, and to hopefully have Reuben (Reid) back training with us on Monday, it will be another massive boost to us.”

Team news

In last week’s press conference, Sarll said he was hopeful that Reuben Reid will return to training on Monday, however Tuesday night’s game may come too soon for a place in the match day squad.

The Glovers will certainly be without Dale Gorman who picked up a suspension for his fifth National League yellow card of the season.

Have we met before?

Recent trips to Hayes Lane have brought happy memories for Yeovil Town fans. Since dropping back into the National League, Yeovil Town are unbeaten on the road against Bromley.

In Darren Sarll’s first season, a late Rhys Murphy goal secured a point for the Glovers in November 2019.

Last season saw Town travel to Hayes Lane on two occasions, the first came in the FA Cup as Gabby Rogers extra time strike secured passage to the FA Cup second round.

In December 2020, the Glovers secured their first National League win of the season against Bromley as both Murphy and Joe Quigley struck in first half.

A foot in the opposition camp

After an almost ten year association with the club, Bromley parted ways with Neil Smith in early 2021, he was replaced by former Arsenal and Newcastle goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman.

Under his stewardship, he has seen Bromley climb to fourth in the National League, and could go within a point of top spot if they win their game in hand.

In the centre of the Raven’s defence stand two familiar faces, Omar Sowumni and Byron Webster are both formerly of Yeovil Town. Webster is unavailable due to suspension, but Sowumni will be desperate to prove a point against his former employers.
