The Glovers will lineup against the Imps looking to make it four games unbeaten in all competitions.
Two Checkatrade Trophy victories have saddled an Emirates FA Cup draw at Port Vale, leaving the players in positive mood.
Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over higher league opposition in AFC Wimbledon made it back-to-back home wins, leaving Way to speak of a happy camp.
“It’s a good, positive group at the moment,” he told iFollow Glovers. “There’s competition for places now with the squad we’ve built.
“All the lads are very persistent in everything they do. That’s off the training ground and on the training ground. What we saw on Tuesday night was it all coming together.
“You could see a lot of energy and a lot of forward thinking. We asked for more crosses, more shots, more forward runs – players are now showing that with their energy.”
Fresh from their cup victory, Town will go up against play-off chasing Lincoln at the weekend.
Having lost just twice at home all season, Way is wary of the threats posed by Danny Cowley’s side.
“Like any team, they have strengths with their forward play. They’re strong, can be dominant and they get the ball forward early.
“(Michael) Bostwick I tried to get in summer but unfortunately couldn’t get near his bonuses let alone his wages! He’s a very, very experienced player to have in your team.
“They have (Matt) Rhead who’s a little bit like (Tom) Pope (at Port Vale); a physical presence, holds the ball up and flicks it on to (Matt) Green.”
