The 18-year-old came on at half-time in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier fixture, once again making an impact from the bench.
Bassett, who provided an assist on his debut in the 4-0 win against Frome Town two weeks ago, almost doubled the Magpies’ lead midway through the second half with a spectacular volley, whilst his harrying of the St. Neots defence led to teammate Nathan Walker firing a shot straight at the visiting ‘keeper when through on goal.
The victory saw Dorchester pick up their first league win at home in seven months, continuing Bassett’s 100% record since arriving on a month’s loan at the Dorset club.
The Northern Ireland Under-19 international made a good impression on his home league debut and will be pushing to start in Tuesday night’s league clash with Chippenham Town at the Avenue.
