The Middlesbrough loanee has spent the entirety of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Huish Park and made 32 appearances.
Having faced spells on the sideline with a back injury, Pattison has started the last two matches and now feels physically able to help the green and whites pull out of the bottom two.
“It’s been really frustrating,” he told iFollow Glovers. “I got off to a flying start and then had a problem with my back. I came back, played a couple of games, the back problem came back and stopped me playing at 100% so I came out the side again.
“Now I’ve played the last two games feeling 100% fit with me and Sessi (D’Almeida) in midfield.
“I’ve loved it and made 32 appearances which I wasn’t expecting to get when I first joined, so personally I’m delighted to get that amount of games but I would’ve liked to have been a bit higher in the league.”
Enjoying his first taste of EFL action, Pattison has become a firm fans’ favourite at Huish Park.
Part of the side that enjoyed scintillating early season form, the 21-year-old is determined to secure the club’s league status.
“We got off to a flying start and things haven’t gone so well in recent months but I’m hopeful we can stay up.
“I’m sure everyone will forget about what’s happened as long as we retain our Football League status. That’s all that matters.
“We’re just focusing on the next game that comes. Obviously, we know where we are and the main thing is to just get three points and we’ll go to Northampton and fight for them.”
