Hey everyone.

I hope you have all had a good week…much better I am sure after our first round FA Cup victory over Crawley Town. I did not make it to the match but I listened online to BBC Somerset and I loved how dominant we sounded…but in true Yeovil style just the one goal to make sure we were still nervous.

I am sure the boys just like to keep us on our toes. I am really pleased for Jordy Hiwula, scoring his first goal for the club; Kieffer scored his first in the FA Cup last year so I am sure there are more to come. As for the draw, we know that we will be taking part in a tough away day at either Notts County or Accrington Stanley.

It will be interesting if County win the replay as that will be our second trip to Meadow Lane in as many weeks. We must see it as a winnable tie and a win would mean a potential tie against one of the big boys!

I just love the FA Cup and Warrington and Worcester this year are the reason why. Having beat Exeter and Coventry respectfully, their celebrations were a joy to watch and I am sure every YTFC fan is remembering our giant killing days and even that day at Wembley…who doesn’t love an underdog?

With just a few goals in the Premier League this week, it was clear that the FA Cup has not lost its magic as many people fear in this day and age. The draw, however, has not been so kind to the lowest ranked team Warrington who travel to Conference side Gateshead.

I would love to see them get a win and meet a Premier League side in the next round…what a day that would be for their fans. Warrington travel to Scunthorpe…will they triumph against another struggling League One side? Let’s hope so.

It was such a shame to see local side Weston-Super-Mare have to postpone their match at the weekend against Doncaster Rovers. The revenue they must have lost out on will have hit them hard and disappointed their fans. I will be backing them for a win next week and a chance to travel to Oldham against Lee Johnson’s side.

Goal of the Week

Having raved about the FA Cup I had to choose a goal from the first round matches. However, who saw Sigurdsson’s free kick against Arsenal? That was a beauty.

You can watch all the goals from the first round on the BBC Sport website which I love! I chose Dover’s winner against League 2 Morecambe. It may be for the shock factor but I love Stefan Payne’s work rate and composure to give the Conference side the lead. Enjoy.

Next up for the Glovers is a visit from Fleetwood Town who have fallen away a bit of late and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Cambridge United.

I am hoping we can take advantage of their inconsistency and claim a third clean sheet in a row and a much needed three points. The boys should be full of confidence from the Crawley game, not to mention the 13–0 win in the Somerset Premier Cup against Hengrove Atheltic. I could not keep up with the goals as every time I tweeted we scored. Some people on twitter suggested I try it in the league. Shez Tweets and Talks?! It is an idea.

So, I hope to see you all at Huish Park on Saturday as I finally return after what feels like forever. I cannot wait. Here’s to three points and a Joe Edwards hat trick….a girl can dream.

Until next week…
