John has been a lottery agent for Town since the 1970s in the days of the old 25p Goldliner scratchcards. More recently, John has been pounding the streets of Yeovil collecting for The Gaolden Gate lottery.
Last week, John was a guest of the club and met with Manager Darren Way and the players before being presented with a new home shirt.
Approaching his 84th birthday later this month John has finally decided to hang up his boots due to a bout of ill health.
Commercial manager, Dave Linney, said: “John has been a stalwart to the Yeovil Town lottery department for many years and he will be greatly missed.
“I would like to wish John and his wife Rita good health and happiness for the future on behalf of everyone at Huish Park.”
