Yeovil Town can confirm the signing ofCzech Republic central defender Jakub Sokolík on a two-year contract.
Jakub was a free agent having been released by Liverpool at the end of last season.
After a loan spell at Southend United last season the Shrimpers were keen on securing the services of Jakub, but the defender has chosen Huish Park to play his football for the next two years.
Twenty-one-year-old Jakub was first spotted by Liverpool Chief Scout Eduardo Macia playing for his home country club Banik Ostrava where he had been since signing for the club as a six-year-old.
In March 2014 he joined Southend United on loan where he made ten appearances. Jakub has seven Czech Republic Under 16 appearances and five caps for Under 17 side.
