The Glovers travel to the Crown Ground tomorrow (3pm kick-off) looking to extend their unbeaten Sky Bet League Two run to seven matches.

Accrington almost clinched promotion to League One last season but are yet to hit the same heights this campaign.

The Lancashire club have lost their last four games on the bounce, and Way feels John Coleman’s team have been unlucky.

“John is a good manager,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“He’s had one or two decisions go against them, and they deserve more than what they’ve had.”

Way added: “It’s not an easy place to go and you have to make sure you have a lot of energy. 

“We need to prepare right so the players can show us a committed performance to get us three points.”

Accrington made a flurry of changes to their squad in the summer after suffering play-off heartbreak.

Coleman brought 18 players – 15 on a permanent basis – through the door, with 14 exiting the club.

“Recruitment wise they made a few changes,” Way said.

“If you look at the whole back four, it’s changed from last year which is a big thing in football.

“They’ve got the lad (Omar) Beckles, (Mark) Hughes got sent off (in midweek v Hartlepool – his card has been rescinded), they’ve got (Zak) Vyner from Bristol City.

“However, they still get the ball down and we have to make sure we know our performance, our pattern and live up to it.”
