Jamie Andrews is excited for his next steps in development, having joined Yeovil Town on a short-term loan from West Bromwich Albion.
Although he played three games for Leamington in the National League North last season, Andrews is eager to learn during his time in Somerset.
“From playing Under-23’s football, this is going to be completely different,” said the left-footed midfielder.
“It’s going to be more physical and I won’t have much time on the ball.
“I’m going to need to adapt to that physical game, grafting for three points and leaving everything out on that pitch.”
A graduate of the West Brom academy, Andrews has spent a number of years playing with former Glovers loanee Ted Cann, who gave the 20-year-old an insight into the Club.
“Ted and I spoke, he told me what the Club is like and how his time went here.
“All he could say was good things, so I really couldn’t wait to get down here!”
It’s straight to action for Andrews, who subject to clearance, should be part of the squad to face Woking tomorrow evening.
“I’m excited. I’ve played at their ground before, in pre-season last year for West Brom’s first team.
“It means it will be a familiar ground for me to play at. I just can’t wait to get out there in front of the fans and show them what I can do.”
