Middlesbrough loanee Jack Robinson is savouring his first team opportunities whilst on loan at Yeovil Town.
Despite training with the Boro first team on a consistent basis, battling for three points week in week out is something the 20-year-old is relishing.
“With Middlesbrough, I was around the first team but I was playing with the U23’s. Coming down here and playing men’s football, it’s different.
“Playing in front of fans, that’s exactly what I wanted to when I came down here. I’m really enjoying it.
“There’s pressure on games here, to play with that, that’s why I’m here.”
Stepping into the National League, the left-back insists the style of play is not much different to what he’s used to under Neil Warnock with his parent club.
“It’s similar to the way Neil Warnock plays, but the physicality of it is different. Obviously there’s a lot of big teams in this league, that’s the main difference.
“The last seven days especially, they’ve been tough on the legs, but I’ve enjoyed it and now we’ve got Saturday to build our momentum.“
On Saturday, Yeovil Town will venture to the league’s form side Solihull Moors, but Robinson is confident Town can produce a positive display on the road.
“After the game (against Grimsby), we felt like we played some good stuff, we kept the ball well and into Tuesday’s game we were able to carry that on.
“We got the second goal that we’ve been missing, that was important. It’s something we’ve been saying that before games.
“We’ve been getting the first goal, but that second is the most important one. On Tuesday night, (Tom) Knowles gets that second goal straight after half-time and we went on to win the game.”
