A defensive mix-up gave the Dons the lead at the break, but second-half goals from Kevin Dawson, Francois Zoko, Alex Lacey and Ben Whitfield gave the Glovers a resounding victory.
Yeovil have now scored nine goals in their last two fixtures, and Way is thrilled with the football his squad are producing.
“i’m very pleased because we were up against a very good MK Dons team,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.
“I thought we were unlucky to go 1-0 down because we dominated large periods in the first half and got in the final third a number of times.
“The players managed the game really well and contributed so much in the second half. We ran all over them.
“They kept possession of the football and it’s the best I’ve seen from them. We caused them real problems.”
Way continued: “I feel very honoured to lead this dressing room.
“The squad as a whole are playing a major contribution and every week I keep saying every player that comes into the football club is showing an unbelievable desire and work ethic to make the club successful. That’s all you can ask for as a manager.
“At times they are going to make mistakes, and it’s important to stay humble with the results that we’ve had over the last two games but make sure we keep believing as well.
“There’s not one individual who is trying to do anything different and that’s the sign of a successful team.”
Town are in home action again on Saturday (3pm kick-off) against Barnet in Sky Bet League Two.
