Ryan Seager was once again a used substitute for Havant & Waterlooville in their 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Braintree Town in National League South.
Introduced in the 79th minute, the striker almost provided an assist in the closing minutes when his offload saw Benny Read force a good stop from the keeper. However, the Hawks suffered a first defeat since Seager’s arrival earlier this month.
Heading out on loan last week by joining Gosport Borough, the duo of Alex John and Nestor Shako both made their debuts.
Impressing despite a 5-1 defeat to Sholing Sports last Wednesday and completing 90 minutes each, John produced another strong performance in a 78-minute showing at Truro City on Saturday.
Conceding a last-minute goal to suffer a 1-0 defeat, Shako missed the trip to Cornwall with a slight knock.
Completing the loan round-up, defender Daniel Ojo made an impressive start to life at Melksham Town as he helped his side to a 3-0 win over Highworth Town.
