The wide man’s time at Huish Park has been cut short by Swansea City ahead of a proposed move to Sky Bet Championship outfit Barnsley.
Hedges, 21, originally joined the Glovers from the Premier League side on an initial six-month loan deal in the summer.
However, the deal was soon extended until the end of the 2016/17 season after he impressed boss Darren Way with his performances in the opening month.
The Wales Under-21 international was a mainstay in the side for the first half of the campaign becoming a fans’ favourite, but has been sidelined for the past five weeks due to ankle injury picked up in the Boxing Day draw with Exeter City.
In total Hedges made 28 appearances in all competitions for Town, scoring five goals.
Everyone at the club would like to thank Ryan for his efforts and wish him all the very best in the rest of his career.
