Yeovil Town Manager Gary Johnson had some good news on the injury front as the team enjoy the benefits of a Saturday without a match.
With Luke Ayling, Gavin Williams, Reuben Reid, Byron Webster, Keanu- Marsh-Brown , Dominic Blizzard, Richard Hinds and Ed Upson all suffering minor niggles and knocks and most of them missing training this week, concerns were being raised about them being fit for the Johnston Paint Trophy match against Wycombe.
But Gary had some good news this morning. Talking exclusively to www.ytfc.net the manager said:
“Yes it’s been a bit of a concern but I am happy to say that it looks as if, with exception of Dominic Blizzard and long term injury pair Lewis Young and Nathan Ralph, they will all be ready for selection by this weekend.
“This competition has become a very important one for the club and with Wembley being so close we need to be able to field our strongest eleven for the match.
“Everybody wants to go to Wembley and I am no different and I hope the supporters will get behind the team in large numbers and help create a great Huish Park atmosphere on Tuesday evening.
“With tickets priced at £10 for adults, £5 for over 65’s and £2 for kids it’s a great opportunity to come and watch what we hope will be an exciting game.
“Hopefully it won’t go down to penalties and save us all from anxiety that creates!!”
