Town’s last Trophy action was a 0-0 draw with Exeter City at Huish Park in September, getting a point on the board before losing the penalty shoot-out for a bonus point.

The green and whites also faced the Grecians on Saturday afternoon playing out a more entertaining 2-2 draw, with goals coming from Jordan Green and Alex Fisher.

The Glovers didn’t have any fresh injuries to add to their already packed physio room and the return of Gary Warren to the bench on Saturday was a welcomed sight.

However, Darren Way will still be unable to call upon Stuart Nelson, James Bailey, Francois Zoko, Wes McDonald, Alefe Santos, Diallang Jaiyesimi and Omar Sowunmi.

Rovers won their first match in the competition 2-0 against West Ham United under-21s at home.

The Sky Bet League One side are without a win or a goal in their last three in the league and currently sit in the relegation zone in 21st place.

Head-to-head
Tuesday evening’s encounter will be the 18th time these two sides have faced-off with one another.

Rovers boast six wins to Town’s five with six draws being played out.

Town have not claimed a win in their past three meetings with the Pirates, their last victory was a 3-0 win in September 2012 with goals from Same Foley and a brace from Ed Upson.

The last time these two sides met was in the Checkatrade Trophy two season’s ago, playing out a 0-0 draw at Memorial Stadium.
