4th May 2018

With 45 games played, Darren Way’s side make the trip to Sincil Bank looking to round off the campaign with a win.

Having already guaranteed EFL status, the Glovers head north looking to reach the 50-point mark whilst their opponents need a point to ensure a top seven finish.

After going four unbeaten on the road in March and April, the Green & Whites have lost their last two away from home against high-flying Accrington Stanley and Notts County.

Searching for a return to winning ways, Town will be without the services of Jonny Maddison (hip flexor), Dan Alfei, James Bailey (both knee), Stuart Nelson (wrist) and Jake Gray (ankle), whilst Ryan Dickson (foot) will face a late fitness test.

The only other absentee will be ever-present defender Omar Sowunmi, who will serve the first of a two-match ban that will now stretch into the 2018/19 campaign after being dismissed last weekend.

For the Imps, their play-off spot will be confirmed with a point in front a sell-out crowd as they look for a return to winning ways after defeat to Stanley last Saturday.

Matt Green with 15 goals to his name will lead the Lincoln frontline, backed up by Ollie Palmer (11 goals) and Matt Rhead (nine goals).

Head-to-head
Saturday will be Town’s first trip to Sincil Bank since 2004.

City won 3-1 in November that year, following on from a dramatic 3-2 win for the Glovers at the end of the previous 2003/04 season.

Adam Stansfield, Jake Edwards and Gavin Williams were all on target as Gary Johnson’s side missed out on a final day play-off spot on goal difference.

Officials
Eddie Ilderton (Tyne & Wear) will be the man in the middle in Lincolnshire.

Mr Ilderton took charge of Yeovil’s emphatic 6-2 win at Coventry last month, in what was his first match involving Town of the season.

On Saturday, he’ll be assisted by Geoff Liddle (County Durham) and Stuart Butler (Kent) with Lisa Rashid (West Midlands) acting as fourth official.
