Yeovil Town face Hartlepool for the third time this season on Saturday (3pm), as the Glovers look to the first victory of the season over the Pools.
A fine run of form has seen the green and whites enter 2020 unbeaten, without conceding a goal, and scoring six themselves.
Most recently, Town overcame Hampton and Richmond Borough in the FA Trophy to secure a third-round tie with Notts County, and this week secured the signature of forward Marc Richards.
Hartlepool have endured an inconsistent spell of late, in their last six games, they have won twice, drawn twice and lost twice.
Head-to-head
Our last meeting with Hartlepool was a disappointing one, as Town were dumped out of the FA Cup.
Our first meeting this season also ended in defeat, despite travelling to Victoria Park in fine form, but the hosts would prove formidable opposition, taking the lead through Gime Toure. Yeovil looked to have secured a point at the death as Rhys Murphy flicked home James Tilley’s cross, but Jason Kennedy scored the latest of winners to claim three points for North-East side.
A memorable victory against Hartlepool came in March 2010. A Glovers side which included current player Craig Alcock smashed four goals past the Pools for a comfortable 4-0 victory.
