With the green and whites on an excellent run of form, Alcock and his teammates return to Huish Park to face Bromley on Saturday (3pm) after six consecutive wins.
Having suffered relegation with the club last season the defender is happy with the season’s progress so far.
Speaking to YTTV on the Glovers’ recent success, he said: “It’s a good place to be at the minute, that’s a testament to the gaffer (Darren Sarll) and the players he’s bought in. It’s still early days at the minute though but we want to keep the run going on Saturday.
“It was always going to take time to bed in, especially with the change in ownership. I think the whole culture of the club has changed. Darren has brought a real togetherness, from the chef, right the way through to the top.
“It was obviously tough last year, but it’s a new season now and sometimes you need to take a step back to go two steps forward. There’s a really good mentality around now though, the feel-good factor is back.”
Yeovil host top of the table Bromley on Saturday, in a clash between the two in-form National League sides.
The Ravens, who are currently unbeaten, will stay top of the league even if they lose, however victory on Saturday for Town will bridge that gap to just one point.
“It’s a great game for us, we don’t want to be complacent but we’re on a good run of form, as they are.
“I know they haven’t been beaten yet but there’s a first time for everything and hopefully that can come Saturday.
“We are fully ready for the big test they (Bromley) offer. We want to go out there and put on a good performance for the fans.”
