Mr Robins watched on as the Glovers lost their opening match of the season 8-2 at Luton and was eligible for a refund after the first-team staff and players decided to reimburse those who travelled to Kenilworth Road.
Rounding up the figure to £100, the lifelong Town supporter first made contact with the club on social media to seek the players’ choice for a charity to donate the money to.
Having recently played Frome Town in pre-season to raise money for Jamie Mines, manager Darren Way and the players chose his fundraising campaign to be the beneficiary of Stuart’s kind gesture.
Speaking to YTFC.net, the Tamburino Stand season ticket holder said: “I wanted something good to come from what was a bad afternoon.
“As soon as the club announced that refunds would be made available, I knew I wanted to do something with the money – hopefully, we can remember something good from the game now.
“I felt it right that Darren and the players choose where they wanted the money to go and I was delighted to help a great cause.”
All at Yeovil Town would like to thank Stuart for his kind donation on behalf of those associated with Jamie Mines’ fundraising campaign.
