Founded in 1897, Northampton currently play their home games at the Sixfields Stadium – which has a capacity of nearly 7,700 spectators.

Managed by Chris Wilder, who moved from rivals Oxford United in 2014, the Cobblers play in a claret and white home strip.

Northampton shared their stadium with nearby Coventry City in the 2013-14 season following a disagreement over rent between the Sky Blues owner SISU Capital and the ground’s operator ACL.

However, the Cobblers became embroiled in the conflict and were threatened with legal action by ACL for allowing Coventry to use Sixfields.

Thankfully, the dispute was resolved and Coventry moved back to the Ricoh Arena in September 2014.

Northampton boast former Glovers Lawson D’Ath and Brendan Moloney amongst their ranks, having also been managed by former Yeovil Manager Gary Johnson.

Their main shirt sponsor is currently the University of Northampton and they will be hoping to improve their results from last season in order to graduate from League Two.

Distance from Huish Park: 155 miles (around three hours, 20 minutes).

2014-15 season final position: 12th in League Two.

Odds on to finish: Win outright 14/1, promotion 100/30, relegation 18/1 (all odds sought from SkyBet).

Super stat: Northampton are nicknamed the Cobblers, linking to the town’s shoe-making heritage.
