Prostate Cancer UK have spoken of their delight that the Viva Pitch single "Running" has finally been released (for pre-order initially) on iTunes and urge all Yeovil Town supporters to get behind the project with proceeds from the single going to the Charity.
The girls will be getting together with some of the Millwall players (whose shirt sponsors are Prostate Cancer UK) for a photo opportunity.
Mark Bishop, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK said: “Yeovil Town have been working tirelessly in their local community to raise awareness of the serious issue of prostate cancer and this is certainly one of the more innovative projects undertaken. It certainly seems to have caught the imagination and I look forward to hearing their debut single safe in the knowledge that a bulk of the proceeds will come directly to us.
“Prostate cancer kills one man every hour in the UK with one in eight men likely to be diagnosed with the disease at some point in their lifetime. It’s great that everyone at Huish Park and the local area are involved in promoting awareness but our vocal range remains massive. From Somerset to Cumbria we want to be there for all men and make sure we are all singing off the same hymn-sheet in our quest to beat this disease.”
