With all the midfielders signing on at Huish Park it’s nice to make sure we’ve got some cover at the back too, with Ben Tozer the all action defender is just than man, here is five things you need to know about our new man.

1) Benjamin Peter Anthony Tozer is a 25-year-old defender who can play at either right back or in the centre of defence.

2) Tozer started his career at Swindon under… you guessed it… Paul Sturrock, but the chance to move to Newcastle came soon after and he was signed for an undisclosed fee.

3) Tozer actually had trials at Everton before the Sam Allardyce took him to St James Park.

4) His Newcastle debut saw him start in the heart of defence with club legend Steven Taylor, he would then spend his first of two spells on loan with Northampton.

5) The day before Yeovil’s success at Wembley, Tozer was in the Cobblers’ side who lost out 3-0 to Bradford City.

Another one of Sturrock’s Stalwarts has signed on and will slot in among the likes of Nathan Smith and Jakub Sokolik in the defence.
