LPF is a charity which provides information on disabled fans facilities at clubs and stadia, along with useful disability and access reports, guides, good practice documents and general disabled supporter information.
For a two-week period, the Weeks of Action campaign aims to celebrate the positive initiatives undertaken by clubs, sporting venues, and their governing bodies in partnership with disabled sports fans and disabled supporters’ associations.
Marking the campaign on Saturday, Yeovil Town Community Sports Trust and the club’s Disabled Supporters Association combined to welcome students from Cambian Lufton College, which provides specialist further education services for young people aged 16 to 25 with a learning disability and complex needs.
The group enjoyed a stadium tour and training session courtesy of YTCST prior to kick-off, before one of the students was able to flip the coin during the mandatory pre-match coin toss.
Rounding off the day’s activities, the group took part in a penalty shootout on the Huish Park pitch at half-time.
Elsewhere, the first-team coaching staff wore LPF t-shirts in order to raise awareness of the charity’s work.
