Lacey has been struggling with a knee injury which has kept him out of the Glovers’ last three matches in all competitions.
Smith (dead leg) and Ward (rest) missed the midweek visit of Cambridge United, affording Bevis Mugabi and Matt Butcher to form a new centre-back partnership.
Town boss Darren Way was happy to see Mugabi and Butcher step up to the mark and admits their displays have given him food for thought going into the weekend.
"They’ve (Lacey, Smith and Ward) all trained and done the necessary sessions they needed to do for selection which is important," boss Darren Way told YTFC.net.
"They (Mugabi and Butcher) played very well against Cambridge and suggest where we are as a football club in terms of depth.
"I’ve now got a team selection problem which is good to have."
Otis Khan (ankle) is out of his boot and will step up his recovery over the next couple of weeks.
