Yeovil Town are delighted to confirm that we have triggered the extension in Morgan Williams’ contract.
This extension means that the defender will be a Glover for the 2023/24 season.
A well-liked figure around Huish Park, the 23-year-old has spent the past two seasons as a permanent member of the Yeovil squad.
However, his connection to the club runs deeper than that, having enjoyed two loan spells with the club in 19/20 & 20/21, meaning he has played in every season since Town’s return to non-league football, one of just three players to do so.
Last campaign, the young defender was a vital member of the Yeovil Town defence and made 31 appearances before his season was cut short due to an injury in March.
In total, Williams has played 73 times for the Green & Whites, scoring four goals including the opener in our Somerset Premier Cup final victory over Bath City in 2022.
All at Yeovil Town are delighted to have Morgan on board for the coming season and look forward to welcoming him and his teammates back for the start of pre-season.
See you soon, Morgan.
