Yeovil Town advanced in the Somerset Premier Cup last night with a 2-0 victory over Cheddar AFC, with no less than four Elite Player Development Programme students involved in the side.
The match saw starts for both Mason Hunter and Finlay Ridout who began as part of the Glovers’ back four alongside Jordan Barnett & Morgan Williams. Both youngsters completed 90 minutes on their first team debut, and kept the Cheddar forward line quiet throughout the fixture.
Late on, the game saw substitutes appearances for Sam Hodges and Benjani Jr, who were both making their first team debuts.
This isn’t the first involvement for EPDP students in the competition, with the likes of Ollie Haste, Jake Graziano and Corey Andrews all starring in previous rounds of the competition.
Next Tuesday & Friday, the club are hosting two trials for next year’s programme, to sign up, click HERE.
