On Wednesday afternoon, Marcus Stewart launched his charity football match, raising money for the Darby Rimmer Foundation at the Memorial Stadium of Bristol Rovers.

The fixture will take place Saturday 13th May, as South West Legends take on an all star eleven which will include the likes of Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Stephen Warnock and reigning European Championship winner Jill Scott.

Team Stewart, which comprises of Marcus and his wife Louise, have already raised £80,000 of their £100,000 target for the Darby Rimmer Foundation, part of the fundraising included a winter walk through London where Marcus was joined by Yeovil Town co-owner Stuart Robins.

Marcus, who came through the Bristol Rovers academy, will be joined by a number of his former teammates and players he’s coached in the South West XI.
