We’re delighted to introduce the Performance Centre (the reinvigoration of youth football at Huish Park) Management Staff ahead of the 23/24 season.


Jamie PhillipChief Executive

Jamie’s role includes overseeing the operations of the Performance Centre, ensuring the quality of standards within the staff team remains at its highest at all times.

Jamie has a wealth of knowledge and understands what is required to operate at the highest levels after being involved within clubs in the professional game for several years.


Mark ChallenHead of Coaching & Standards

Mark returns to the club for another spell, this time as Head of Coaching & Standards to ensure the standards are high across the board.

He is also in charge of creating a new and inclusive coaching environment to benefit and enhance the players training/performances. Mark also has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the youth set up at the highest levels, previously working with Exeter City Academy.


Bob ThomasHead of Development Phases

Bob comes directly into the club as Head of Development phases. He continues his outstanding work, whilst using his expertise within the community to provide support to all of the staff, parents & players.

Bob has been involved within the club for many years, primarily working with the youth & long may this continue.


Ben JonesHead of Foundation Phases

Ben joins us as the Head of Foundation phases. He also has a lot of experience within the youth set up and will be using his expertise to provide support to all of the staff, parents & players. Ben was previously the Centre Manager of the SS Regional Talent Centre and we welcome him to the management team for the PC.


Roy O’BrienLiaison Officer

Roy returns to the club as the liaison officer and will be responsible for positive communications between parents, players & staff.

He will use his expertise to deal with discipline cases and ensure the standards are being achieved by the players throughout the system. Roy has a long history with the club, being involved as a player during a successful period & has also previously worked within the community trust and women’s section.
