It’s been another busy weekend for our on-loan Glovers who have been involved in action across the non-league pyramid.
Ollie Haste and his Truro City teammates have continued their promotion push from the Southern League Premier. Haste was once again named in the starting side for the Cornish outfit, but the White Tigers were held to a 2-2 draw by Hendon FC at Silver Jubilee Park.
It was an extremely emotional afternoon for Will Dawes and his teammates at Stratford Town, who played for the first time since the tragic passing of Cody Fisher. The result wasn’t to be for Dawes, who started in a 2-1 defeat against King’s Langley.
More locally, Benjani Jr and Jake Graziano were both involved for Sherborne Town this weekend. Graziano started at right-back whilst Benjani had to settle for a place on the substitutes bench as he continued his recovery from injury. Unfortunately for our youngsters, the game ended with a 3-1 defeat for the Zebras. However, Graziano earned praise from those in attendance for his performance during in his first start in black & white.
With heavy rain across the country, Ollie Hulbert and Toby Stephens saw their fixture for Plymouth Parkway postponed. Hulbert has now returned to Huish Park following the expiry of his loan whilst Stephens will remain with Parkway until at least the 13th January. Sam Hodges and Rob Hollard of the Under-18’s also saw their Gillingham Town debuts postponed after their game against Brislington fell foul to the weather. Max Evans was not involved for Bedford Town this weekend.
