Adi Yussuf enjoyed a successful return to the Tanzania squad on Wednesday afternoon with a 3-1 win against the Central African Republic.
The Glovers forward started for the Taifa Stars at the 60,000 seater Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. This was his fourth cap for his nation and his first since 2019.
Tanzania struck ahead in the first half through 18-year-old Beitar Tel Aviv star Novatus Miroshi. In the second half, they added to their tally with former Aston Villa man Mbwana Samatta getting in on the act. The visitors pulled a goal back from the penalty spot before George Mpole added a third.
Next up for Tanzania is a friendly against Botswana which will be played at the same time the Glovers host Southend.
