Yeovil Town have resigned former goalkeeper Chris Weale on a two year contract.
Chris, who originates from near-by East Coker, started his career at Yeovil Town in the successful Under 18 side in 2000.
He made his first team debut in Tony Pennock’s Testimonial match against Southmpton in July 2000. In all Chris made a total of 172 appearances for Yeovil scoring a memorable goal against Hereford during a loan spell in 2009.
In 2006 Chris moved on to Bristol City but injury blighted his time at Ashton Gate where he only made nine appearances before joining Leicester City where he made 75 appearances before moving to Shrewsbury Town in 2012 where he made 81 appearances. During his time away from Huish Park Chris enjoyed loan spells at Hereford and Northampton.
Chris was voted into the Yeovil Town team of the decade by supporters in a book to commemorate the club’s ten years of Football League action.
