On Thursday evening members of the Yeovil Town board and manager Darren Way met with members of the newly formed Glovers Trust and Supporters Direct at Huish Park.
In a positive meeting where the board and Darren were shown a presentation from Supporters Direct and both parties asked questions to each other about the future of Yeovil Town.
Following the outcome of the Government’s recent Expert Working Group (EWG) Supporter Ownership and Engagement discussions, from 2016/17, the introduction of EFL regulation 111 means senior executives at clubs will be required to, ‘hold at least two meetings/fans forums per Season to which its supporters (or representatives) are to be invited in order to discuss significant issues relating to the Club’.
The club started this process last season when representatives met with various supporter groups around the local area.
Chairman John Fry was positive about the future involvement of the newly formed Supporters Trust, and thought the meeting in the Huish Park Boardroom on Thursday, was a good "starting point" from which a useful working relationship can be developed.
Manager Darren Way said: “The meeting between all parties went extremely well and we look forward to working together to achieve by unity.”
