A brace from Gold Omotayo recorded a 2-0 win at the Shay, ending the hosts’ 100% record at home and knocking them off of top spot in the National League.
For the Glovers, victory in Yorkshire confirmed three consecutive wins for the first time since last September as the resurgence under Sarll’s tenure continues.
Rising up into the play-off spots, the Town boss told YTTV: “I thought we were good. I thought it was a good performance. I thought we got better and better in the game.
“In the first-half I thought we could have been five or six up probably with the amount of good chances, and the amount of saves that the goalkeeper had to make. It was excellent in the first half.
“Then in the second-half I just thought we showed a lot more control and a lot more composure. We looked as though we had some good organisation in our shape, and I just felt it was only a matter of time before we got that second goal and extended the lead, and again we probably could have had two or three more in the second half.”
Omotayo’s first goals for the club confirmed three wins in a week for the green and whites.
But Sarll was left most impressed with a midfield duo who received his praise after full-time:
“I think that what is starting to show, especially with the creative players, is the aggression that is coming out of their play. Matt Worthington and Myles Hippolyte were not only good in possession, but they won the ball back and they covered some ground.
“No-one gets a minute’s composure or a minute to relax when they’re pressing you. I thought they were our best two players by a mile. They’re showing good aggression and if they’re going to play for me, they’re going to have to that aggression.
“I thought James Tilley when he came on, he showed that same aggression, and he continued in the right sort of vein.”
