Yeovil Town have signed Ben Gordon on a month contract that will be reviewed on it’s completion with a view to an extension.

Gordon, a free agent, joined up with The Glovers today after being released by Chelsea in January 2013.

Born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Gordon came through Leeds United’s academy, and was signed by Chelsea from Leeds in 2007 for compensation. After signing for Chelsea he graduated up the youth system and into the reserve team.

He made his Football League debut on 27 March 2010 while on loan at Tranmere Rovers during a 3–0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion

In the summer of 2010, he signed for Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock on loan .

A loan move to Scunthorpe United until the end of the Football League Championship season was agreed in January 2011, but the move was not completed until 7 February, after Gordon had fully recovered from a hamstring injury sustained while with Kilmarnock.

He joined Peterborough United for the first half of the 2011–12 season, but was recalled to Chelsea in late September because he failed to break into the first team.

In 2012 he rejoined Kilmarnock on loan and was part of the side that beat Celtic to win the Scottish League Cup alongside Lee Johnson.

Ben had a short loan spell at Birmingham before his release by Chelsea.
