Yeovil Town are delighted to confirm that Andy Williams has re-joined the club on a one-year loan deal.

 

Striker Andy joins from League One side Swindon Town after leaving Yeovil to join the Robins in 2012.

 

Andy started his career at home-town club Hereford United before joining Bristol Rovers in 2007.

He signed for the Glovers in 2010 and made 72 appearances scoring 22 goals for the green and whites.

Speaking this morning Yeovil manager Gary Johnson said: “After reaching agreement between both clubs I expressed a big interest in getting Andy Williams back to Yeovil.

“I am delighted everything has come together and we welcome back with open arms  Andy  back to Yeovil.

“ We have some very good strikers already at the club but we all know in the Championship you can’t have enough goal scorers.

“Our strikers also have the ability to mix n match and perform together.

“I’m sure the odd one or two fans may have felt aggrieved that Andy left to join Swindon but he felt it was the right move for him at the time.

“We understood his decision and these sort of decisions often happen in football, but we are delighted he is back with us at Huish Park.

“The minute we were allowed to speak with Andy he showed us great desire and keenness to back playing for Yeovil.”

Andy will link up with his new team-mates in time for tomorrow’s squad to face Derby County.
