Yeovil Town can confirm that they have completed the signing of Reading striker Gozie Ugwu on a six month loan deal.
Gozie, 19, joins the Glovers from his Premier League parent club after an impressive rise through the Berkshire side’s Academy system.
Scouted at the age of fourteen playing in Sunday League football near his native Oxford, Gozie has clocked up five years at the Madejski Stadium.
Although yet to make his first team bow at Reading, the teenager went out on loan to Blue Square Premier side Ebbsfleet last season where he scored four times in eight starts plus a sub appearance.
Clearly Reading can see his potential as they have just signed the striker on a new deal as our picture shows.
He is of course a team mate of previous Huish Park loanee Lawson D’Ath and comes to Somerset with the blessing of former Yeovil Town winger Brian McDermott, manager of the newly promoted top flight outfit.
Welcome to Yeovil, Gozie, and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
