Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Morgan Williams on loan from Coventry City for one month.
A recognisable face to Glovers fans, the 21-year old enjoyed a short but successful loan spell with the club over the Christmas period last year, where he made an instant impact with a clean sheet on his debut against FC Halifax Town.
Morgan will go straight into the squad for this afternoon’s encounter with Chesterfield, a side he faced for the Glovers during his last spell. That evening Town were the 2-1 victors with the centre back barely putting a foot wrong, with the Spireites’s goal coming in spectacular fashion through Curtis Weston.
Speaking on his latest loan addition, Darren Sarll said; “After Collins and Staunton suffered injury at key times it was evident, we may need another type of ingredient to ensure the team performs better.
“The option was and is still there for several senior out of work players to come into the squad but what I immediately requested Morgan because of his playing traits. He is very different to what we have, and he made a huge impression on us all the last time he was on loan.
“He knows the group, to some extent, and understands what it is to play for Yeovil, the expectations that are placed on the players and the need to win games on a weekly basis.
“It’s great to have him back and I hope he has a great experience with us again.”
Everybody at Yeovil Town is pleased to welcome Morgan back to the club and wish him all the best during his second spell in Somerset.
