Tuesday 4th November| Enterprise National League | Huish Park

Second-half goals from Dominic Hutchinson and Max Kretzschmar settled the fixture, with the visitors returning to the capital with all three points.

Richard Dryden made one change to the side that battled for a hard-fought point against Carlisle United, with James Plant returning from injury and going straight into the starting XI.

It was the Glovers who had the first sight of goal, albeit in ambitious circumstances, as Jake Wannell picked the ball up from 30 yards before drilling an effort over the crossbar. Down the other end, Omar Mussa tried his luck from outside the area, but his effort struck Aaron Jarvis and bounced away from danger. Moments later, a skidding ball into the six-yard box caused issues for Michee Efete before Dominic Hutchinson looked to capitalise, but Jed Ward was there to clear the danger.

Wealdstone then took control for the remainder of the first half, with Mussa and Hassan trying their luck, but neither attempt troubled Jed Ward. At the other end, Tahvon Campbell drove forward but unleashed a tame effort that dribbled comfortably wide. The three additional minutes came and went without incident as the half ended level.

Half Time: Yeovil Town 0-0 Wealdstone

The rain continued to pour during the break, but the Glovers started the second half positively. McCormick looped a long ball into the area towards Jarvis, but it flew over his head and was gathered by Baptiste. Moments later, the Glovers produced their closest effort as Michee Efete delivered an inviting ball across the six-yard box, where Aaron Jarvis stretched but could only divert the ball agonisingly wide.

At the other end, Wealdstone began to find their rhythm again. Agyemang found Hassan, who fired just wide in the 57th minute. The first Glovers change came just short of the hour mark, with Junior Morias replacing James Plant. Moments later, the deadlock was broken.

Hassan broke down the left and into the area before clipping the ball towards the back post, where Dominic Hutchinson was waiting to swivel and fire home, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. Following the goal, the Glovers had two big chances to level. First, a quick counter-attack led by Andrew Oluwabori saw him thread a ball to Tahvon Campbell, whose low effort was denied by Dante Baptiste. Then, Oluwabori caused more problems before the ball fell to Luke McCormick, who fired straight at Baptiste.

Despite Yeovil’s chances, it was Wealdstone who doubled their lead in the 74th minute. A Hutchinson cross from the right was not fully cleared, and Turner recycled the attack, finding Kretzschmar, who fired a powerful volley beyond Ward and into the net. With the game entering the closing stages, the Glovers had a half-chance through Morias, but nothing more was produced as Wealdstone held on to take all three points on a soggy evening in Somerset.
