Marvin made two appearances for Yeovil Town in 2005, during a career that began with great promise when he became Bristol City’s youngest ever first team player, making his debut at just 16 years and 71 days. He later went on to play for several clubs across the country, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went, both on and off the pitch.

Beyond football, Marvin was known for his kindness, humility and incredible strength. Over the years, he faced significant health challenges, including ulcerative colitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis and, most recently, cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer. Despite this, he continued to live life with courage, humour and positivity that inspired everyone who knew him.

Marvin leaves behind his beloved wife Alexis, and their two daughters, aged 11 and 8. The family’s love story began when Marvin and Alexis were just sixteen, childhood sweethearts who built a beautiful life together filled with love, laughter and community.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support Alexis and their girls during this unimaginably difficult time. Donations can be made via the following link:

Everyone at Yeovil Town extends their heartfelt condolences to Marvin’s family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Once a Glover, always a Glover.
Rest in peace, Marvin.
