Yeovil began the match with long periods of controlled possession but struggled to turn that control into clear chances. Their first opportunity came in the 14th minute when Junior Morias was fouled on the edge of the area, but Josh Sims sent the resulting free kick wide.
Morecambe grew into the half and forced a sequence of blocks from the Yeovil defence in the 19th minute, but the visitors dealt with the pressure well. Moments later, Morias attempted to break forward on the counter, only for Blackman to step out and stop the attack.
The Glovers went closest before the break on 30 minutes when a corner from Sims caused uncertainty inside the Morecambe area. The ball eventually dropped to Finn Cousin Dawson, who fired wide from a promising position.

Yeovil returned for the second half with renewed intent and almost found a breakthrough when Max Jolliffe delivered an excellent cross for James Daly. Blackman made a strong save, although the assistant referee had already raised the flag for offside.
As the hour mark approached, Morias again threatened down the left, squaring the ball toward Sims before the Morecambe defence intervened. Morias then collected the loose ball and attempted another cross, but Blackman reacted quickly to gather.
The best chance of the afternoon arrived in the 78th minute when Tahvon Campbell was brought down inside the area, earning Yeovil a penalty. Campbell stepped up, but his low effort to the right was tipped away by Blackman, a moment that ultimately shaped the result.
Both sides had late opportunities, with Luke McCormick going closest for Yeovil when he curled a shot just wide of the far post. Despite the late pressure, the match finished level, leaving Yeovil to take a point that felt as though it could have been more.
