The dynamic left-back arrives at Huish Park with a wealth of EFL experience, having made over 70 appearances for Shrewsbury in League One. Known for his explosive pace, attacking intent, and tenacious defending, Nurse adds proven quality and athleticism to the Glovers’ defensive ranks.

The 25-year-old has already featured five times for Salop this season, continuing to demonstrate the energy and consistency that have made him a fan favourite at the Croud Meadow.

A graduate of the Bristol City Academy, Nurse has also enjoyed successful spells with Newport County and Walsall, where he earned a reputation as one of the most dependable full-backs in the lower leagues.

Manager Richard Dryden said:

“George is a fantastic addition for us. He’s got real quality, great experience, and that bit of athleticism that can make a big difference at both ends of the pitch. This move gives us important cover while James Plant continues his recovery, and we’re delighted to have George with us initially for the month.”

Nurse will link up with the squad immediately and is available for selection ahead of this weekend’s fixture.

Everyone at Yeovil Town welcomes George to Huish Park and looks forward to seeing him in green and white.
