This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most recognisable names in English football as we continue our journey both on and off the pitch. As a proud, historic club with deep roots in the community and a passionate supporter base, we are looking for a commercially minded leader who can match our ambition and help shape the future of Yeovil Town.

This senior role will suit a motivated and experienced individual with a proven track record in commercial sales—ideally someone who is confident operating independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is hungry to drive revenue growth through strong relationships, creative thinking and relentless execution. Previous employment in a sports franchise or football club is advantageous, but not essential.

Position:

  • Commercial Lead
  • Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Location: Huish Park Stadium, Yeovil, Somerset
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with some fixed evenings and weekend working (particularly on matchdays)
  • Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
  • Closing Date: Monday 8th September 2025

Please note we may close applications early if we receive a high volume of interest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Club’s commercial sales operation, setting and delivering clear revenue targets across sponsorship, hospitality, and partnerships.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new commercial opportunities that deliver long-term value to the Club.
  • Create tailored commercial packages that align with business goals and maximise brand exposure.
  • Manage and grow existing commercial accounts with a strong focus on retention, upselling, and service excellence.
  • Represent Yeovil Town FC at external business meetings, networking events, and sponsorship activations with professionalism and passion.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to support commercial growth and brand visibility.
  • Maintain accurate records within the commercial CRM system and provide regular reporting on pipeline, performance and projections.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and external agencies to ensure successful delivery of all commercial rights and obligations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, using insight to shape and refine commercial strategies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven sales performer with a strong track record in securing and managing commercial partnerships, preferably in football or a related sports environment.
  • Confident, articulate, and persuasive with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A self-starter who is highly organised, resilient, and results-driven.
  • Experience creating and presenting compelling sales proposals and closing deals.
  • A strategic thinker who understands the commercial landscape of lower-league football and sees opportunity where others see limits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally and regionally.
  • A professional, ambassadorial approach in all dealings, internal and external.

What We Offer:

  • The chance to play a central role in the future growth of one of England’s most storied football clubs.
  • A competitive salary, with performance-related bonus opportunities.
  • Opportunities for continued professional development and career progression.
  • A dynamic, close-knit working environment with real impact and visibility.
