This strategic move represents a significant step forward for the club, giving our players and staff access to top-class facilities in a high-performance environment. The modern infrastructure at SGS Wise Campus will support the day-to-day development of the squad and enhance our overall professional standards.
Executive Chairman Stuart Robins said:
“This move represents a major milestone in the continued evolution of Yeovil Town Football Club. Providing our players and staff with access to elite training facilities is essential if we are to raise standards and push toward our ambition of returning to the Football League. The SGS Wise Campus offers exactly the kind of environment we need to drive progress and deliver results, while maintaining our strong identity and connection with the Yeovil community.”
Crucially, this relocation also broadens our recruitment reach. By positioning ourselves in a more central and accessible location, we are better placed to attract a wider pool of talent – an important factor as we continue building a squad capable of pushing closer to a return to the Football League.
First-Team Manager Mark Cooper added:
“From a football perspective, this is a really positive step for the club. The facilities at SGS Wise are first-class and will help create the kind of professional, high-performance culture we want to build here. It’s about giving the players everything they need to develop, compete, and succeed. At the same time, our heart remains in Yeovil – we’re doing this to bring success back to our fans and our town.”
Our roots remain firmly in Yeovil, and we remain fully committed to our supporters, our community, and our long-term future in Somerset. Matchdays, fan engagement, and our wider club identity will continue to be anchored in the town.
This move is about raising standards and making smart, progressive decisions, all with the ultimate goal of bringing Yeovil Town back to where it belongs.
Connor Sidley-Adams of SGS College commented on the new partnership:
“Yeovil Town FC training at the SGS Wise Campus next year is a really exciting opportunity for the College and Yeovil Town FC. Over the last couple of years we’ve worked tirelessly to position the WISE Campus as a centre for elite sport which has seen a range of international and elite teams use our outstanding facilities. To have a club such as Yeovil Town FC using our facilities on a daily basis is testament to this progress. The partnership will be an exciting one that will provide opportunities for collaboration through our outstanding academic and academy programmes, presenting students with a number of opportunities.”
We look forward to starting this exciting new chapter and will continue to keep supporters updated as preparations for the upcoming season progress.
